Birthday Party Visit

Ben had a birthday party to attend for a classmate. I was able to attend that with him. I did not know the parents but they were nice people. I believe my son was invited because the girl, their daughter who was celebrating their birthday, has a crush on him. Ben said him and the little girl were just friends but I do not think the little girl sees it that way. I’ve noticed this more with Ben and girls, they seem to really like him. He is too young and I am too old to deal with this now. Needless to say I did not have that problem when I was a boy, I was awkward in every way possible with an off-putting personality to boot, but I did have a brother who the girls loved and always asked about when I ran into them at different places. Like we would exchange pleasantries and they would immediately ask about him, hurrying through the part where I said what I was doing. I always thought that was funny and just accepted my fate. I will admit, I would tell the girls my brother liked them and they would swoon. Later my brother would be like “this random girl called me” and I would laugh. Before anyone feels sorry for me, I should state I have a smoking hot wife so things worked out for me in the end.

Derby Car Creation

Another Derby car, we are running out of these to do. It was a fun build, we kind of struggled getting it at weight. I also blew one up, luckily we had a leftover car so we could finish it. Again, I waited until the last minute to do it even though they rescheduled it two weekends later because of snow. Overall his car finished out of the top three because the wheel fell off. He was champion a few times, but eventually other people catch up and start making fast cars also.
