NKFF Equipment Maintenance

I received a call from the fly fishing club asking if I could host the rod and reel maintenance for NKFF. I’ve not done anything with this class in many years. Some of the old timers didn’t recognize me at first, but then they did and it was like being with old friends. I ran around with these guys for years. Many of them were my stand-in dads, mentors, and friends. I am glad I ran into them. I really needed some positive male role models in my life. I also appreciated that they treated me like a peer rather than a young person, and I hope I can do that for others in the future.

Climbing Gym

Ted’s troop spent the night at the climbing gym. What a night they had. I did not stay with them, I am trying to give Ted his space, but I received pictures. Evidently they stayed up pretty late. Ted conquered his fear of heights. He spent two hours climbing a specific tower and did not quit until he reached the top. His hands were pretty minced up and he was very sore, but he was happy he did it.
