MGT 623 – Leading Diverse and Innovative Teams – Week 2

Diversity in Teams – weekly readings on diversity. We continued diving more into “psychological safety” and how to promote it on the team. The leader should be the role model and lead through vulnerability. I feel like I lead in this manner, encouraging others to be honest and open, and I strive to also be honest and open. We also dove into biases. I wrote more about biases on this blog too. I find it a fascinating concept in terms of its effect on decision making.

One interesting touch in this class is the use of AI. We will read an article, put in an AI prompt, and converse with the AI. That is the first time I have done this in my MBA program. We also read a few chapters from a book and submit a few bullet points about each chapter and a summary. It’s an effective way to read a book and I think I am going to use it going forward in this blog.
