Mother’s Day Baseball Outing
There was a happy coincidence for a Reds home game at Great American ballpark that fell around Mother’s Day that also included a Star Wars Day celebration and bobblehead giveaway. We attended this game and enjoyed ourselves. We decided to eat at the stadium and sample their foods. All four of us received Grogu bobbleheads for our desks at home. The boys each chose a small souvenir bat and I purchased a new wallet (long story) and a fitted baseball cap. Because of my long hair my hat size is now several sizes larger. This was actually Ben’s first trip. I had a pitiful boycott against the Reds after they fired Dusty Baker and took on what I considered a “tanking operation”, their history since then would prove that I am right. But we are back, I have the MLB package, and we are enjoying being Reds fans again.
To the young lady who asked to purchase one of our bobbleheads, I am sorry my response came off a little curt. I had no idea my voice would sound like that and I apologize. I think you just got me at a bad moment. You should know my family laid into me afterwards for it. Despite my lack of years I will admit that I am still learning how to “people”.
