Brooks and Dunn Concert – Riverbend

Our third and final country concert. My wife took me to see Brooks and Dunn at Riverbend. This is the second time I have seen them in concert. Brooks and Dunn are one of my favorite groups and I love their music. It was a sold out show. We arrived later than usual so we could see Ted’s Scouting America promotion. Arriving at Riverbend is a recipe for disaster. We were second after parking in the main lot and were pushed into the casino parking. The issue is the casino parking lot does not have parking stewards who direct people out, so it is a free for all and can take a few hours to exit. Luckily after the show I noticed I could jump a curb and get into a different lot, where we were able to get out.

The show was great, the people were crazy. People were pretty hammered by the time they took the stage. The parking lot on our way out was full of drunk people arguing and being dumb. You never see this at a metal concert. The alcohol is actually the only thing I do not like about country shows. Brooks and Dunn though played all of the jams and I am so happy they came here on a Saturday. You can tell these guys are getting older, and they were clearly struggling in the heat, but they sounded great.
