Ted’s Summer Scouting Recap

Ted’s had an incredible summer with the Scouts. Summer camp, spelunking, kayaking, and camping. He also got everything he could get out of summer camp this year, earning 7 of the 8 merit badges that he could earn for the week. Evidently he missed one class because his buddy needed to go to the bathroom and he needed to wait for him. He’ll also earn his Second Class Advancement in the fall barring any exceptions.

Scouting has been great for him. I suspect when I finish my MBA I will volunteer time back to Scouting America. I still do not want to be too active with them, I want Ted to have the space to grow without me looking over his shoulder. There are probably other things I could do with them, perhaps I can go and just give them space.
