Artemis II Splashdown with Live Feed
The return of Artemis II was shown on YouTube from entry through splashdown and retrieval. This concludes this space mission now that all astronauts are safe and at home. I enjoyed following along this endeavor because it is the first one of my lifetime of this scale. I remember the space shuttle missions when I was a child and the coverage of when they entered and exited orbit, and of course the ISS missions.
What’s wild is the back to back coverage available now on YouTube where you can follow this in real time rather than just on the nightly news. I would check in periodically to the feed to listen to the radio transmissions back and forth between command and the ship. I even became familiar with those working CAPCOM and what their day to day was like, including the shift change. I am glad those of us at home were able to follow along.
