The Purpose Driven Life – Day 1

I am going to work through the 40 day reflections from Rick Warren’s “The Purpose Driven Life.” The book has been on my book shelf for a few years. I even started reading it on New Year’s day in 2023 and gave up less than halfway through it. This first post will be my first reflection on Day One.

“But focusing on ourselves will never reveal our life’s purpose.” Day one is about looking outside of yourself to find purpose, one that originates with God. Warren is quickly dispelling the myth that we can find life’s purpose on our own. There is some relief to that concept, because so much of it God is revealed to us through the Bible and through prayer. I believe this will be an enlightening 40 days.
