Cincinnati Pops Holidays Concert 2025

We attended the 2025 Holidays Concert with the Cincinnati Pops. There was heavy snow this day but we made it downtown safely. I even discovered a better way to get to parking so many wins. I also wrapped up my exam the morning of, and the final after it. I am glad this class is over and I am looking forward to a few weeks with no school.

The concert was fun. They try to keep it fresh and I appreciated the musical choices this year. I thought it was fairly entertaining and I wish the entire concert was longer. I often don’t say that, usually these things bore me to tears but it was an overall very pleasant experience.

Pack 808 Christmas Dinner

Another Christmas dinner in the books. The pack has grown so large now that we had the entire cafeteria put to use. We made a ton of macaroni and cheese and the kids happily gobbled it up. We did leave with one crock pot full of it and we will eat that this week, so no worries. I did like not having to make the proteins this year and passing that along to the current leadership team.

The pack had a volunteer Santa Claus this year that I would say is the best Santa we’ve had. I thought that he was great, and very kind. Ben took his picture with him, begrudgingly though. I have to think this is the last year Ben believes in Santa. It will stop making sense to him at some point, and I do not push the issue on him. I usually answer his critical questions about it with “so they say”, and you can tell it’s not making sense to him anymore. This will be the last year I think for it, so we will savor what we can.
