End Of Class, TV Shows
End Of Class
I spent the entire weekend finishing up my second MBA class, and really didn’t do much this week except classwork. The last week required the standard financial paper, but instead of being worth 50 points, it was worth 100. Even though it was requested to be done within three pages, it was impossible to do so in under seven. There was also a required reading, lecture, and homework like every week, but on top of that was an exam worth 50 points. Coming into the last week I needed a modest grade on each to keep my A, but I did end up maximizing points in each, and finished with a stronger A. Given this was my second course, and my second A, it takes a little pressure off with ever falling into the realm of academic probation, which is a serious conundrum to be in when you are in a master’s program.
My next course will be in Information Systems, which I specialize in, so it will be an interesting course. With this next week off I will spend some time catching up on my other line of study, which is a self directed course improving my technical skills. I’ve been told by my employer to focus on learning Apache Airflow and improving my Python skills in case we need to rely on them. Of course I am tickled to be able to improve upon that skill.
The picture relates to a small trip my son and I took to campus so I could sign up for my All Card and a family gym membership at campus. As a student we can join the Rec Center for nearly free. The facilities are comparable to Silverlake. We will probably join it and end our many year membership to SL finally. In all honesty it’s come to this juncture anyway. I will have more on this decision though when we actually get closer to making it.
Other Updates
Since I do not have much to report, I will lay out the shows I am watching this week.
Monday – Black Summer on Netflix
Tuesday – Severance S2 on Apple TV
Wednesday – Shogun on Hulu
Thursday – Heroes S1 on Prime Video
Friday – Star Trek the Next Generation S2 on Paramount +
This seems fairly regimented, but it’s no different than back in the day when we waited until a certain evening to watch a television show. Doing it this way also gives me something to look forward to in the evening and unwind a bit.
