MGT 635 – Designing for Project Success – Week 3

Evidently I did all of the reading that needed to be done last week. This was probably the first slow week I’ve had in any MBA class since I have been doing the program. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy the break, especially doubling up on classes, but it feels like I am not getting work done.

I went ahead and bought the PMBOK guide, which wasn’t required for the class, but it’s referenced so many times in the regular book I wanted to read it also. I am going to commit to taking the PMP exam. The book itself is not what I expected. It is just all of the terms in alphabetical order. I suspect you familiarize yourself with them and then roll them into your project planning. I do like Work Breakdown Structure and see some value in it.
