Shooting at the Club, Fun at NKU Rec Center

Weekend with Ben

Ben and I went to Dutchman’s to shoot rifles. I spent the entire weekend doing homework, in fact I’ve spent the last several weekends doing homework, so I wanted to get out with someone for a little bit. Since Ted and Leslie were indisposed with an archery tournament, Ben and I went out and had some fun. After that we had a nice lunch at his favorite place, Skyline Chili, and went to NKU Rec Center to workout together. Having a son is like having a little buddy to do things with, and I am glad he likes the things that I like also. I am thankful for much in my life, but being a dad is at the top of the list, right after being married to a wonderful woman. I am truly blessed.

I am also purchasing a pistol that I want to shoot for fun. I just do not have many hobbies right now, so I want to utilize the resources that I do have in the meantime. One is the use of Dutchman’s, so I would like to get some shooting in. I’ve gone back and forth on what type of firearm to purchase. I also want to get a second trap shotgun so Ted can join me on the range as well. I am also looking to get into the trap league at Dutchman’s, so maybe Ted can join me there in the future also.
