Nobel Prize winner, AI researcher, scientist, and even a knight. Hassabis lays out Gemini and the direction that it is going in the consumer segment, with Gemini entering the fabric of your life. Agentic AI is about a year out in his opinion. His fear is AI going off the rails could hurt humanity, his hope is it creates clean energy, finds cures for diseases etc. The one statement he said that struck me is his belief that the next model that comes out may be able to create games just by vibe coding, which is incredible if you think about it. Will we get to the point where someone builds their own version of GTA6 in a day or two? He seems to think it is possible.
