Easter Weekend, Pond Fishing, Solar Eclipse

Easter Weekend

A fairly subdued Easter Weekend. This was one of the first Easter Sundays we were in town for as we usually travelled during this time in the past. We went to service at our old Church in Ludlow, which was nice because our new Church was so full that we most likely would’ve not found a seat. We ate well at a family dinner, which is the best you can do. I did not get through reading any of the Gospel for this Easter Weekend. I’ve been reading the bible front to cover starting from Genesis and going forward. I hope to get it all read by the end of the year.

Pond Fishing

We fished my wife’s aunt’s pond. We stayed there for an evening as they were in the path of totality. We ate some great food and drank some good whiskey. I enjoyed fishing with my boys and catching bass out of this pond. It is isn’t often you can access a nice bass pond. We also stopped by Bass Pro Shops on the way home and bought Ben a new fishing rod. It was clear his kiddie rod was no longer up to the task for him.

Solar Eclipse

I am so glad things worked out for us at the Solar Eclipse. We had our eyeglasses on and watched it. The full eclipse was absolutely dazzling. I wanted to see the diamond ring and the 360 degree twilight. I cannot provide a good photo of it, my video camera died so I used my cell phone camera instead. I am glad we were able to make it. I am surprised though on my social media the folks who didn’t travel for it, especially all of the old folks on there. They did post plenty about what little of the eclipse they did see but that was it.
