Cincinnati Comic Con And Dinner At Carlo And Johnny

Our first visit to Comic Con and then a nice dinner at Carlo and Johnny with my nephew for his 18th birthday.

Comic Con was an interesting experience. We took my youngest nephew with us here and had a good time. We met a friend of mine who rents a booth there selling Pokemon cards and we spent a little time manning his booth while he used the restroom. There was some cool stuff to see, and I purchased a cool print of Green Lantern signed by the artist who made it. That is now sitting in my office. I also bought the boys some toys and they play fought the entire time. Upstairs there was a Super Smash Bros tournament and we watched the championship of it. They also had board games and a costume contest but we did not see those in action. Perhaps next year we will do that also.

It would be fun to go here and cosplay. There was also a lot of celebrities there, not people you’d consider huge stars, but people where you’re like “yeah I know who they are.” There were some artists there, next year I will meet them and buy some more art for my office after doing some research into who they are. Williams Shatner was there, and so was the woman who played a Harry Potter character that everyone was going crazy over. I think she only had a few minutes of screen time in all of the movies but that’s enough I guess. Weasley’s sister who marries Harry Potter.

Carlo and Johnny was great as usual. We took my nephew there and my oldest son. My nephew is a big football player and said it was the best steak he ever ate. He almost asphyxiated he was eating it so quickly. Great experience here as usual. The porterhouse was delicious. I’ve now eaten at the area’s best steakhouses and in just a few weeks of each other. Would love to eat here regularly but the total bill was a bit more than what I usually spend LOL.
